Dear Superintendent (insert name):
Unfortunately I am forced to request paid leave through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) due to the fact that my child’s school or day care is closed or unavailable for reasons related to COVID-19. It is my understanding that there are limits to the amount of pay available through the FFCRA but that the first ten days are at full pay and that I can then supplement that amount for the remaining ten weeks using sick time to ensure that I receive my full salary. I would like to take that option.
As of right now, I expect to need to use the leave intermittently on the following days:
